- TriviaThe three criminals Kwai Ching-hung, Yip Kwok-foon and Cheuk Tze-keung are based on with their names altered, jeweler robber Kwai Ping-hung, notorious to such extent that he was placed on Interpol's Red Notice; bank robber Yip Kai-foon, known for his use of an AK-47 during robberies; and kidnapper Cheung Tze-keung, known for his kidnaps of billionaires in Hong Kong.
Kwai was sentenced to 24-year for multiple firearm and explosive charges, Yip was arrested in 1996 and sentenced to 41 years and Cheung was sentenced to death and was executed in China on 1998 (he was in hiding there in 1996).
Kwai was released in January 2020 and thus was deported to the United States as he held a passport there. Yip remained in prison until his death in 2017 thus Kwai became the last living criminals of the trio.
- GoofsCheuk Tze-keung drives a Lamborghini Diablo GT (clearly noticeable by it's fixed headlight and distinctive front bumper), which for a film set in early 1997, was not available until 1999.
