Very good film.the story line ,the concept and the direction all are mind blowing.

Wonderfully made short film. This story clearly depicts how important it is to be patient in one's life.....with your own self and with others as well. As a husband if he would have just patiently listened to his wife this scenario could have been avoided. Being a good listener can solve so many problems.

*FOR THE PEOPLE WHO DIDN'T UNDERSTAND THE STORY TILL THE END* The woman always had a complaint that she was unable to go out of the house like her husband for his father in law who was a paralyzed person and cannot get up from bed.. she always had to answer her father in law's TIK TOK sound which he use to make with the Teaspoon.. She always thought that her father in law is calling her for attention. and one fine day when she was so busy and frustrated that she by mistake and anger killed him.. She forgot that his father in law is also a human being who wants go out and spend his time but due to his bad health condition he was unable to go out of his room not even able to get up from the bed so his Father in laws best pass time was to do that TIK TOK sound with the Tea Spoon. He use to spend his time doing that.. It was the girl's misconception that his father in law was calling her. He use to do it just for time pass. Even the TV was in the hall and there was nothing he had to do. The tea spoon was the only thing he had.. And this was the thing that she realize at the end that the TIK TOK sound was just a pass time.. It was not for calling someone.. The situations shown in the film that after tik tok sound when the girl goes to the room she see that sometime he was fallen.. sometime he was asking something.. That happens.. If we fall and try to get up and at that point if some1 comes that don't mean that I needed help (He was trying and meanwhile the girl came) other times its the same thing when we thing of something and someone come to our room we often ask them for passing a bottle of water or etc.. that do not mean that we are calling them all the time.. ITS THE MISCONCEPTION OF THE GIRL TO THINK THAT TIK TOK sound was done by him to call her.. It was just a pastime game to him.

    Very Realistic

This short is a frighteningly real depiction of how such a typical Indian situation can end up.

It is the norm in India for disabled or bedridden elders to be looked after at home by their kith and kin. In Teaspoon it is the daughter in law stuck at home alone all the time because of her paralysed bedridden father in law. She works from home while her husband goes out of the house to work every day.

Teaspoon shows that as in most such situations, she is not intentionally cruel. It is just that she is frustrated being stuck in the house all the time and having to forego her desire for a holiday break because of her father in law's plight. Though she does try to do her best for him, the old man's habit of tapping a teaspoon on the side of the bed to draw her attention, causes acute irritation - or rather the sound does. Not at all unusual as most people in such a situation could testify. The husband who is not around most of the time, fails to appreciate his wife's frustration.

Eventually one of these tapping bouts sends her off her rocker and she suffocates the old man to death with a pillow.

The film ends depicting the shock when she realises what she has done. An even greater shock awaits her at the sound of her husband tapping his teaspoon on his cup, something she had never noticed earlier.

This short is shockingly real rather than a very interesting story. Anyone who is stuck in the house caring for an elderly relative will find something in there that resonates with their own feelings, no matter how harsh. That is the truth.
