It has the potential to be a better movie.

I watched it years ago. I'd forgotten the ending, so I wanted to watch it again. It's actually an average film, but most local horror films are so bad. This one seems pretty good. There are no unnecessary jump scares. The film's running time is good. If they'd worked a little more on the script and editing, it would have been a good film. The fact that the writer and director are both single-person contributes to this. If you don't get your hopes up and compare it to standard works, it's quite watchable. With better production and script, this film could have been made into a second part. Of course, I know there won't be a second part.
