Even in 2013 we knew the problematic nature of this song... and yet it didn't stop it from absolutely blowing up. The video does a great job of capturing the innocence of the writers and singers.
Most people say that Thriller is the best music video of all time, while most say that Blurred Lines is the worst. Why? The song borrows heavily from Marvin Gaye's Gotta Get to Give it up, which resulted in a trail that was never resolved. Also to add insult to injury, it features lots of sexy women who are underrage compared to Robin Thicke. The uncensored video on Vevo has them naked and is not for kids.
I don't know what the process was for creating this. Some kind of abortion.
I discovered the video/ song after I saw the reflection of copyright infringement proces around it refected by the film Blurred Lines by Corry Raymond.
First the video defines this pure awful song, pure trash as sexist, vulgar, horrible .
Second, the horrible lyrics are proof of the touch of drugs under the so less inspired creators of it.
Few cliches are used, again and again, for obvious dumb public.
And the only question can be about its succes. Or about infringement itself .
So , difficult to not regret its discover. The courage for see the original of Marvin Gaye is not very high after the clash with its copy.
