A rollercoaster of the mind

A psychological roller coaster journey compressed into 15 minutes whilst dipping into the world of Hasidic Jews of London. The grainy imagery in between allowed for meditations and thoughts to be processed. At the end one wonders what a good balance between tight knit community with strict rules and absolute freedom could be or if we have to choose one or the other.

In an effort to contrast and compare the traditional differences between Jewish communities in the UK and those of the US, director Billy Lumby welcomed some of the ad-libbing offered by the American actor Robert Firth. Lumby allowed for some of the improvised Yiddish humor to highlight the more casual relationship that some American Jews have with their religion .
