My Favourite Austen Big Screen Adaption.

This film is sheer perfection with the most amazing cast of actors you could imagine. This is my favourite big screen adaption of a Jane Austen classic, with the BBC Pride and Prejudice holding number one for a series adaption.

I love Jane Austen, and this adaption did the book justice.

Kate Winslet and Emma Thompson were perfection. With Alan Rickman and Hugh Grant adding such dynamics.

If you love period pieces and a wonderful romantic stories then this is definitely worth a watch.

It is my go to movie whenever I want to cheer myself up and forget what is going on with the world.

Beautiful and entertaining, not to be missed.

Sense & Sensibility, as good a movie as I've ever seen

We are living in the year 2019, the movie came out in 1995. I watched it again this morning, & I must say I never remember seeing a better movie than this in all my 87 years. It is as faithful to the Jane Austen novel as can possibly be expected for a movie. The plot of the movie is portrayed with great care by those who made it, including Emma Thompson (who wrote the screenplay from the Jane Austen novel), director Ang Lee, stars Emma Thompson, Kate Winslet, Alan Rickman, Hugh Grant, & Robert Hardy. It was so good to see a movie without a break-neck pace, that had no special effects, & allowed the viewer time to soak up the meaning of the movie itself.
