7.7/10. Why didn't this movie become famous?

This is so underrated that it hurts. 6 only reviews and a 6.3/10 rating? Why? What is the explanation?

This is a great movie, something like a prime Woody Allen movie but darker and weirder. An existential dramedy, a movie that explores human relationshiops in a funny/provocative way. It's brilliant at times, cynical but not unbearably cynical. I mean, Onur Tukel is a cynical and a pessimist but he is still a humanitarian as well. I watched recently another movie of his (CATFIGHT). It was a good dark comedy but APPLESAUCE is so much better.

APPLESAUCE will make you think a lot but simultaneously, it will entertain you. It's enjoyable all the way, even exciting. I can't say that i loved the final 10-15 minutes, it was not a perfect ending but it is just a detail. Again, i can't tell why a clever -brilliant at times- movie like it didn't get the recognition it deserved.
