If you take this movie from the right angle, it is almost as funny as the "Naked gun" of Leslie Nielsen.
It's done so badly that it does make it hilarious and demential.
I gave it an extra star just for the bloopers, that trust me.. Are all over the place 😂😂😂👍
Andre......you've lost another submarine? The main problem with " Altar Rock" seems to be everyone wants to be somewhere else. Like doing "Auntie Mame" on Zoom with the Sconset Actors Colony or " Yentl" at the Auschwitz Arts Festival in Ozwiecim. I liked this film for everything it wasn't but strives to be. Under dog films work for me, even without Season Hubley in the cast.
Terribly boring and one of the worst casts I've ever scene, with the exception of kj apa and Scott Adkins. No one could string a sentence together that sounded real. Especially the aunt and her niece who both sounded like they were reading of a script with no emotion or realism whatsoever.
This movie is exactly like a grade 5 student's A/V essay, and the student get's an F. It's so awful that you feel badly for the actors, actors who will not be adding this catastrophe to their resumes.
Tillie (India Eisley) is a troubled girl on Nantucket Island. Her parents had recently been killed in a plane crash. She falls for cab driver Niko (K.J. Apa). The problem is his murderous brother Marco (Scott Adkins). Agent Cantrell (James Remar) is on the case.
Niko is a problematic character. K.J. plays him like a nice guy. I buy his inner conflict with his brother but he tries to be the good guy. This apparently is inspired by the Boston Marathon bombers. The problem is that this movie is nowhere near sophisticated enough to do justice to the complexity of human relationships. There are awkward turns here with Niko. I don't buy his character even without the inspiration.

- TriviaJames Remar's character is obsessed with the memory of September 11, 2001. In reality, Remar was in New York City in early September, riding the Ladder Company 3 truck with friend Patrick Brown. He left the company to film scenes for Dæmonicus (2001). As Ladder Company 3 suffered some of 9/11's heaviest casualties, including Brown, Remar says The X-Files saved his life.
- GoofsWhen another cyclist runs Tillie off the road, Niko asks if her leg is OK. He doesn't ask about the front left side of her head which was bleeding after she fell but now is no longer bleeding.
