Demon House

This documentary isn't terrible, but it's not good. There is literally no eveidence of any of this stuff. It's typical Zak Bagans going over the top about every little thing. It's actually comical watching this guy because it is so fake. It's interviews almost the whole movie and a 5 min investigation at the end that isn't even worth it. Save your money

The film was a long episode of a ghost hunting/paranormal documentary series. The 'extras' were all pretty good, the 'star' made us think it was a mocumentary, the lack of investigation and excess hearsay reconstructions left the film a little stale and repetitive. That said, its a films which some will like and some wont, variety is the spice of life and each to their own.

The thing that really upsets me is that this film at the time of reviewing had a 6+ rating on IMDB, and almost all the positive reviews are 10/10 which is always suspicious for a non Disney cartoon, so on closer inspection, the majority of the 10/10 reviews are by people who have been IMDB members for 2 weeks or less, and have only reviewed one film. Yes, people have to join IMDB at some point, and yes, everyone only has one review at some point, but most of the positive reviews are from quite random usernames (not similar to real names like most people would want), and these users are new and only reviewed this. This blatant abuse of the IMDB rating system for a program which can earn from viewings (stream sales) breaks IMDB ratings at least, and is fraudulent at best.

Unless you are a true paranormal believer and buy everything you hear/see on tv this documentary is going to make you laugh it's so over the top. Of course nothing extraordinary is caught on tape... all of the freakiest things were done via reenactments. Bagans is more pompous than ever yelling at everyone-bossing them around (par for the course if you have seen his history channel show Ghost Adventures). You truly have to believe or want to believe what you're viewing is "real" which I'm sure his fan base will buy hook line & sinker. But to the group of us who watched with an open mind...we had quite the laugh at just how over the top this is. It's not a documentary it's a scripted movie designed to do one thing- OK two things; Scare you for entertainment and put even more money into Bagans bank account.

I'm not sure of the purpose of fake reviews. The movie is still going to suck regardless. Nothing good is caught on camera, so any "proof" is only heresy. You are better off watching GhostHunters.

Don't waste your time. Watch Sesame Street. It's more believable.
