'On a Quest' is a beautifully shot movie which transports you the times when a young boy was alive with a burning quest in his heart to unveil the truth. A boy who was a non-believer and anti sadhus and all those dressed in ocher. It is the story of his journey honestly revealed through this movie.

The content of the movie sticks to his biography and presents a true account of a life well lived. The movie evokes soul stirring emotions, thoughtful reflections and inspiration to rise above your beliefs and seek a direct and intimate experience of Truth. Nevertheless, it leaves you with a sense of quest in your own life.

This movie is must watch for everyone, be it a seeker or non seeker, theist or atheist, believer or non believer. The narration and story is simple and yet profoundly moving and inspiring each time you watch.

This is a great movie! As I watched it, I was transported back in history and watched with fascination the journey of the man from Balakrishna Menon to Swami Chinmayananda. It is amazing to watch the transformation of a freedom fighter to a journalist to a renunciate monk. It was so nice to see the beginnings of Chinmaya Mission and how it was established.

We also get a glimpse of two more spiritual giants - Swami Sivananda ji (of Divine Life Society, Rishikesh) and Swami Tapovan Maharaj. The soil of India is indeed sacred - rendered so by the innumerable sages and saints that have lived in this land.

It is said that the life of a great person is a teaching it its self. This movie is a personification of this. Fast moving, impactful with great poise.

For early 20th century India, the evolution is a youth from south to become one of the Advaithic Vedanta teachers is an incredible story. This biopic walks us through the life journey of Balakrishnan Menon to Swami Chinmayananda with all the intricate details and the quest that transforms to a mission of bringing this ancient knowledge to all.
