Since making her screen debut as a dancer in an episode of the TV series Tell Me You Love Me in 2007, actress Jamie Bernadette has racked up over 100 acting credits – and along the way, she has developed a large following within the horror community due to her roles in films like Son of Sam, Nightstalker, Reel Evil, Axeman, The Bunnyman Massacre, The 6th Friend, Face of Evil, Elder Island, American Satan, 4/20 Massacre, The Bone Box, Axeman at Cutters Creek, Jurassic Domination, Dead by Dawn, Ash and Bone, Cold Blows the Wind, A Deadly Ride, End Times, and more – including, and perhaps most notably, I Spit on Your Grave: Deja Vu. Bernadette recently wrapped up her work on another horror feature called Hennesy House Murders, which was filmed at the historic Dunnington Mansion in Farmville, Virginia, which is said to be “one of Virginia’s most haunting landmarks.” To mark the occasion,...

Principal photography has wrapped on Hennesy House Murders, shot on location at the historic Dunnington Mansion in Farmville, Virginia.

The supernatural horror follows the crew of a popular ghost-hunting TV show as they investigate the infamous Hennesy House, only to find themselves face-to-face with horrors far beyond their expectations.

Indie scream queen Jamie Bernadette (I Spit on Your Grave: Deja Vu) stars with David J. Rivera, Logan Stem, Tatiana Robledo, Nick Oprea, and John Witt.

Raymond Wallace writes, directs, and produces for Rayolight Productions.

“We couldn’t have asked for a better setting,” said Wallace. “Dunnington Mansion gave us everything we needed—a great location, with unique architectural features, and that sense of real, lived-in mystery. The footage we captured there is some of the best we’ve ever produced.”

Hennesy House Murders is working toward a premiere later this year. Check out some behind-the-scenes photos below.

First look at new Jamie Bernadette horror ‘Hennesy House Murders’
Image
If there’s one thing we love, it’s a good horror flick with a scream queen who delivers—and Jamie Bernadette never disappoints. The indie horror favourite, known for her fearless performances in I Spit on Your Grave: Déjà Vu and 4/20 Massacre, is back in the genre she dominates, leading the cast of the upcoming supernatural thriller, Hennesy House Murders.

The film, which just wrapped principal photography, brings ghost-hunting terror to life in one of Virginia’s most eerie locations—the historic Dunnington Mansion in Farmville. A decaying estate with a history as unsettling as the film’s premise, the mansion plays host to a chilling story where a reality TV crew investigating paranormal activity finds themselves facing something far more sinister than expected.

At the heart of the horror? Jamie Bernadette, once again proves why she’s a staple in the genre. Known for her ability to...

Horror Highlights: Hennesy House Murders, Shudder, Eternal Inferno

"Hennesy House Murders" Wraps Principal Photography: "The cameras have stopped rolling, but the echoes of terror still linger in the halls of one of Virginia’s most haunting landmarks. The upcoming horror feature Hennesy House Murders has officially wrapped principal photography at the historic Dunnington Mansion in Farmville, Va.

Produced by Outer Banks-based Rayolight Productions, the film follows the crew of a popular ghost-hunting TV show as they investigate the infamous “Hennesy House,” only to find themselves face-to-face with horrors far beyond their expectations.

The Dunnington Mansion, a once-grand estate now fallen into elegant decay, provided the perfect eerie backdrop for the story. With crumbling corridors, shadow-drenched staircases, and a history that practically breathes through the walls, the mansion became more than a location—it became a character.

Horror genre favorite Jamie Bernadette leads the cast in a performance filled with grit and fear as the crew battles the supernatural.

Image
Stars: Camille Keaton, Jamie Bernadette, Maria Olsen, Jim Tavaré, Jonathan Peacy, Jeremy Ferdman, Holgie Forrester, Roy Allen III, Alexandra Kenworthy, Terry Zarchi, Tammy Zarchi | Written and Directed by Meir Zarchi

It’s not hard to underestimate how much of an impact the original I Spit on Your Grave film had on the genre – mainly thanks to the controversial way the film was marketed back in the late 70s/early 80s and its subsequent banning across several territories. Yet despite all the furore around the film, it never spawned a sequel – after all that was not de rigueur back then, especially with indie productions – but it did inspire the film Savage Vengeance, from cult director Donald Farmer: an unofficial sequel that starred actress Camille Keaton, under a pseudonym, playing yet another “Jennifer” without ever explicitly stating is was a follow-up to Zarchi’s original.

Reuniting star Camille Keaton and original director Meir Zarchi, I Spit On Your Grave: Deja Vu sends now successful writer Jennifer Hills hurtling back to where it all began – to face the wrath of the families of those she murdered. Kidnapped along with her daughter Christy ( Jamie Bernadette), it’s a tense game of hunt – or be hunted – against a ruthless gang of degenerates overseen by a violently unhinged matriarch Becky, (Maria Olsen).

Meir Zarchi delivers the next explosive saga in the most controversial tale of an eye-for-an-eye ever committed to celluloid. Some grudges refuse to be buried… I Spit On Your Grave: Deja Vu...

Jamie Bernadette in I Spit on Your Grave: Deja Vu (2019)
I Spit on Your Grave Deja Vu Trailer: A True Sequel to the 1978 Revenge Classic
Jamie Bernadette in I Spit on Your Grave: Deja Vu (2019)
The first trailer for I Spit on Your Grave: Deja Vu has finally arrived. The long-awaited sequel ignores the recent remakes and is instead a true sequel to the original 1978 movie, I Spit on Your Grave. The original movie is often called one of the worst movies ever made, which has led to an extreme cult status in the 40 years since its release. The sequel was actually finished in 2015, but there has been a 4-year hold up, which makes the trailer release such a big deal.

I Spit on Your Grave Deja Vu brings back original actress Camille Keaton, reprising her role as Jennifer Hills with original director Meir Zarchi. Hills was gang raped and left for dead in a notoriously lengthy scene from the first movie, which saw her exact her revenge on her abusers. 40 years later, Hills is a successful writer who ends up having to go back to where her nightmare began,...

First Look At I Spit On Your Grave Sequel Deja Vu
Better late than never, right?

The iconic and hugely controversial horror film, I Spit On Your Grave, is getting an official sequel, which will act as a direct follow-up to the 1978 original. Titled I Spit On Your Grave: Deja Vu, it will completely ignore the 2010 remake and the two sequels that followed that. Instead, it’ll see actress Camille Keaton, who played writer Jennifer Hills in the classic flick, return to the role after four decades, along with director Meir Zarchi back at the helm.

As far as plot details are concerned, Jennifer has become a successful author and lives with her daughter Christy, who’s a model. It’s not long though before her past comes back to haunt them, as the relatives of the men Jennifer killed in I Spit On Your Grave set out for revenge and kidnap both women. Cue the deja vu.

Though a release date,...

Is it too late for a direct sequel to the original 1978 'I Spit On Your Grave'?
By Seth Metoyer

MoreHorror.com

Is it too late to spit again? Fans of the original 1978 cult classic I Spit On Your Grave (review) have been eagerly hoping for a bloody sequel for 37 years. Now their wishes have been answered, but has it been to long of a wait for this sequel?

I certainly don't think so, and I welcome it! Especially since Camille Keaton will reunite with director Meir Zarchi to reprise her role of Jennifer Hills in the direct sequel, I Spit On Your Grave: Deja Vu.

I'm personally stoked for this new chapter, and am especially looking forward to seeing the character Jennifer Hills again, joined by her daughter Christy Hills (Jamie Bernadette) as well as a variety of new characters, including actress Maria Olsen who plays the role of Johnny’s wife, the gas station attendant that Jennifer castrated.
