I believed this episode would be the point of whether this season is viewed as a success or failure. Unfortunately, it was a let down. The main problem is you can tell where the old footage was used because everything is worse except for the cgi. I have hope season 2 can correct this being under 1 team and not rushed but man is this show a shadow of what came before. Not saying I'm not enjoying it but the amount of cringe pointless writing that shows up is baffling. Why spend 5 minutes talking about how Muse knows taekwondo just to switch to 5 minutes of Muse talking about how he knows taekwondo to Muse getting beat up badly. At the end of the day it's just amateur writing and I would hope a multi billion dollar company could pay a few extra dollars for competent employees. Rant over and hopefully season 2 is good.

Update*** my rating stays a 7. Episode 7 did nothing to help this show. Can improve with a stable team for season 2.

It's very obvious by the fight choreography which episodes were from the old creators and which ones were reshot for the final product. It's a bit jarring honestly because the original episodes have worse choreography by a mile, but also feel much more natural. While the new episodes have the old Daredevil style fighting (which is appreciated) but has a layer of dust over it to hide the cgi that is overly used to make him more comic accurate. This is a creative mistake as well as the choice to shoot the show widescreen as it takes away from the brutality the old show brought. Another huge mistake is that they have toned down the religious themes and have toned down the vibrant colors of the original as these colors told a story of their own and conveyed how some one was feeling with either red, yellow or blue. I am enjoying this show, but the pacing has been a snails pace. At this point the show feels as if it's the wheel of fortune spinner teetering on jackpot or just a $1000 and it's up to these next 3 episodes to give us everything we want from it. It must be all gas and no brakes from here on out.
