I'll start by saying Ross Lynch is definitely one of the most promising HW young actors.
His portrayal of the serial killer is so realistic to the point it feels like you're watching a documentary, as if you're looking at someone else's memory and you shouldn't (the same weird feeling you get when watching Hitchcock... unsettling!) . The colours of the film backed the "memory" type of nostalgia. Everything is accentuated, you're looking at a memory.
So, why 7/10?
Ross Lynch is a 10.
The movie felt too much like a documentary and at points it's forgettable. Some elements could have been added, shifting focus from young Dahmer's perception to the perception of those surrounding him and pointing the contrasts might have been one of those.
Also a little more focus on Dahmer's obsessive thoughts and how it feels to be stuck in a weird pattern of imagery/ irrationality at such a young age.
Great acting.

Forget about the sun King Louis XIV, this show introduces us to his eccentric, fabulous, incredibly smart brother often under the shadow of the sun. The actor perfectly delivered the emotional dimension, complexity of the character, and I couldn't help but be a fan. I also ended up searching historical facts about Philippe, what a truly interesting character he was! Alexander Vlahos deserved a grammy for this.
