First off, I do enjoy this show and think the cast collectively is stellar. Could we please stop the whole I'm off Duty but will take matters into my own hands narrative. All these Officers try and play superhero all the time even when they've been on for less than a year. What department has newbie Officers engaging in these high stakes operations all the time.
It's a show I get it. The beginning had me somewhat interested initially but then I honestly was just ready for the episode to end. It felt like a weak finale and the masked group seemed like a clown show.
I see they're setting up a storyline for next season which is expected. This season felt like it was all over the place though.

First off, I would say give the show a chance. I watched the original All American and admit I did not like Simone at all. When I heard she was the lead on a spinoff, I thought it was a terrible idea. I'm current with Homecoming and can say that Simone has made great strides as a character. The ensemble cast does a decent job and have their own storylines/arcs. Yes, no one can work through their own personal issues but gives the best advice to other characters which is consistent with the original All American. It's a nice change of pace to an HBCU college campus. I enjoy the show and don't take it too serious. Just my opinion.
