Somehow overlooked, but this is one of the best political, revenge thrillers of the 2010's. Ex-pat Chinese restaurant owners' daughter is killed in a bombing and we are off. Supremely directed by Martin Campbell, and starring Jackie Chan, Pierce Brosnan and a cast of 'that guy', the action and intrigue are relentless. Twists, turns and tension are expertly executed with a confident and unrelenting fashion. One of the truly great underrated films of the genre. Cannot recommend it more emphatically. It is one of the absolute best of the genre and most entertaining thrillers of the decade. Completely rewatch able. Enjoy!
Wow.
This was one entertaining show. A medical drama, with intense action and disarmingly funny scenes that keep you engaged and very entertained. Acting is superb, with the lead characters emerging throughout the series run. It's about the establishment of a trauma center, with the expected bureaucratic backlash.
The charismatic lead is one of those idealistic hero's that full motivation is not revealed until the last episode. His young protégés are note perfect and add both an emotional depth and comedic charm. It's intense, but releases the tension with, honestly, laugh out loud comedic moments that always satisfy.
Production values are great, with cinematic flourishes that signal great talent that brought this to the TV screen. It may be a one off, but I'd watch season 2 in a heartbeat!

This is a wonderful reimagined TV series based on the Terry Gilliam film. Same basic idea of the film, with a group of quite inept Time Bandits, travel through time and space with the aid of a map stolen from the Supreme Being. Not as dark as the film, but just as fun, imaginative and hilarious. The special effects are a huge upgrade, rivaling some current movies. The episodic adventures are clever, interesting and build suspense. Performances are fantastic, with Lisa Kudrow, stealing pretty much every scene she is in. Our hero, Kevin, an 11 year old history buff, aids the Bandits, constantly clarifying, always in awe of the real historical events he gets to witness first hand. His quest, is to save his parents from Pure Evil, who is trying to get the map, and turn the world into his evil, awful and suffering ideal.
All in all, a lot of fun, and skillfully executed.
