Gotta say it's the best telenovela ever made in the history. The acting, script, cinematography, music, plot, storyline, etc.... All are perfect and I don't find any minus from this phenomenal novela. Ana Maria Orozco as Betty really great. Jorge Abello as Armando Mendoza also amazing. As well as the other casts (Luis Mesa as Daniel, Ricardo Velez as Mario Calderon, Natalia Ramirez as Marcela Valencia, etc). One of the most memorable scene is when Betty present the company's real balance, it's a masterpiece scene that you won't forget for the rest of life.
Yes, there are many remakes of this novela, and I can guarantee that no one, and never, can beat the original. Watch the original, not the remakes!

I'm sorry but I think this is a horrible adaptation. It just copied like the original one, unlike Ugly Betty which had so many difference. The main actress is okay, but the main actor really bad, nothing compared to Jorge Abello (who play as Armando Mendoza) in the original version. Don't watch this version, watch the original.
This novela was aired in my country Indonesia at the year of 2000. I gotta say it's one of the best novela ever made. It has a very unique plot, unlike other telenovelas, which most of the main plot is a poor woman falls in love with a rich boy, and the man's parents didn't agree, etc... Yo Amo Paquita Gallego gives you something different.
It tells story about Paquita, a woman who lives under a curse. She married 7 times, and all of her husbands always ended dies. She has love of her life since childhood, Andres Hidalgo, but she always avoid Andres because she was afraid Andres will die like her former husbands. After various of obstacles, Paquita and Andres finally can unite.
This novela have everything: romance, comedy, drama, thriller, and suspense. The way how Paquita's husbands died either can make you crying, laugh, or even shouted to the television. The lead stars: Christina Umana as Paquita and Andres Juan as Andres Hidalgo really great and they have amazing chemistry. The theme song also great as well! This novela is a masterpiece. Too bad they won't aired it again...
