"Landman" is just another TV series created by the acclaimed television director and producer, named Taylor Sheridan. I've seen a bunch of his creations and I just have to say that I had bigger expectations from this one.

I have to make myself clear, this review is soon after watching only the first season and of course, I don't want to say that "Landman" is a bad TV series, because it's not, but personally I think that it needed a little bit more drama.

This is just a personal opinion, but this one should have been more focused on respective cartel conflicts and scenes, instead of the main protagonist's daughter and wife. I understand that the character and story needs a little bit of context, but this one I don't think it's a TV series only about family, but rather about the oil industry and all the problems which rises when people try to make this risky business running.

Besides of this, hands down for the acting and the story overall. "Landman" it's worth watching, of course, but it doesn't compare with the rest of the work of Taylor Sheridan, which is of course renowned for making good TV series.

Let's just see what the next seasons are bringing up to the table of television!
