What starts with a ridiculous premise turns into my absolute favorite movie for a long time.
The film makers here have woven an incredible tapestry of character, story, music, and visuals. The tight script and editing means that every line and cut advances the story. Every character acts with believable, intelligent action and their flaws only make them more relatable, and invests us - the audience - deeply in the story's twists and turns.
The score is wonderful and every song advances the plot and character development - this not just an animated movie with song breaks - this is a truly modern musical.
KPop Demon Hunters is fantastic film making. I loved it. More of this please.

The depth of care at all levels of Terminator Zero is simply breathtaking.
Without spoilers, Terminator Zero builds on the foundations of the original movies, but explores a completely new dimension. Direction, characters, animation and - most importantly - story plunge us back into the universe of the Terminator in a way that is both respectful and mind-expanding.
Initially familiar scenes - the humans waging war against the machines in the far future - quickly lead to back to the days before Judgement Day itself, this time set in 1997 Tokyo. The ticking clock of Skynet's impending nuclear strike provides a gripping backdrop as we find ourselves rooting for new characters - both man and machine.
This is how classic franchises should be honored and taken to the next level. I loved it and I want more.

Knowing nothing about the film, I had no expectations about it and ended up delighted!
The target audience is clearly kids, but as a kids movie it's beautifully made. Adults (like me) will enjoy the nods to classic 60s action movies, a path that Pixar's The Incredibles also trod.
The story follows the classic three-act structure with few surprises but is well-written within this structure. The lead protagonist gets a meaningful character growth arc, with Bella Ramsey again giving a fantastic performance.
All the violence associated with farming chickens is carefully avoided, making it suitable for very young audiences.
Coincidence is heavily used to get our heroic chickens out of trouble, which could easily frustrate older viewers, but once I accepted this as a kids movie I very much enjoyed the ride.
