Well, it is good and REAL. This is our modern world now. People do not care about each other anymore. Money is everything. (Though it is a false god.) Lots of people are suffer mentally because of our screwed up world we live in.
This drama tells the truth about our world without filters. So many people are in pain, feeling unwell, being neglected, hurt, and handled like trash. It shows this well. The writers must have some experience with it. :)) (Sorry for the dark humour.) This is not a perfect series, but it has a very good balance of drama, love, and humour.
It shows well how bad being ill is and how hard it is mentally to stand up and continue life and boldly go ahead again. Doctors are just listening and writing pills, people judge without asking about facts, or checking the context.
It is so hard to help and so easy to hate.
The acting is good, the story is fine, and the humour is nice and placed well. The director and his/her team deserve the credit as well.

Everybody says My Sassy Girl is WOW, but I don't understand the hype. It was a huge hit, and I don't know why. Back in 2001, a rude, antifeminine character, how could be loved by viewers???
They say Windstruck (same director, similar love story) is just a pale copy of this. Well, I think it is the opposite! I watched Windstruck first. Then, I was reading the reviews, and many mentioned My Sassy Girl in superlatives, so on a sunny afternoon, I watched this one, too. Actually, I was quite disappointed, more like annoyed. This one has a STRANGE lovely story, while in Windstruck the characters are full of life and lovable.
What do we see here?
The guy is a bit dumb, a weak, submissive man, and the girl is a real bully. Okay, I accept the fact that she is in pain, she is hurt, she is in the middle of her healing process. Still..This girl is a toxic, aggressive female. If they were to reverse the roles in this movie, in 2001 they would say this poor woman was living in an abusive relationship. Today? Those "we don't need men" feminists would want to cancel this movie for sure.
Why I say that?
In this movie "she" is not a feminine character. She was more like a bad male buddy than a feminine friend, not even a girlfriend. Not for a second!
I think every young man should see this movie once to learn what kind of relationship to avoid in life and when to run away fast. Very Fast! In this "love story", we can learn what an abusive love relationship looks like: She uses the guy whenever she wants, then she ghosts him. She demands all the time and accepts what he provides, but gives back nothing, not even a small "thanks". When they bet, and she wins, she hits the guy hard without hesitation and respect, but... but expects him to treat her "like a woman" when she is about to lose the bet. (big slap vs small prick)
What do we see in Windstruck?
The girl is a strong female character (Yes! In 2004!), but she managed to keep her feminine side. She is a real woman who can love and can be loved. In their relationship, she pretends to be tough and a bit distant, but she cares about her man. She acts strong, but she is not rude.
They were soulmates, partners in crime.
Relationship in My Sassy Girl: What??? She said they are in a "relationship", but she behaved like the worst nightmare of men: She was always in control, pushy, disrespectful, took everything/gave nothing, showed no loyalty, and behaved like a rude boss.
Relationship in Windstruck: It shows us how a real relationship should work. No patriarchy, no matriarchy, no toxic masculinity or feminism. They are equal PARTNERS! They are just Yin and Yang. In real life, those who are looking for a relationship all want something like that.
About the actors.
The female lead (Jun Ji-hyun) is awesome! She is a great actress, especially if we know the fact, that she was the lead in "My Sassy Girl" and "Windstruck" as well. She nailed both movies perfectly, and the male leads are followed her act nicely. They were good together.
For me, this movie is more like a drama than a love story.
Worth watching! Especially if you want to learn how not to behave in a relationship, what not to do if you want to find love.
