INITIAL THOUGHTS:
WHOA - this film is EERILY similar to the real-life Covid-19 outbreak. The flick proves to be a very factual + detailed thriller that will keep you glued to the screen.
THE BAD: On a macro-level the movie is undeniably entertaining... BUT there are some slow moments. With the luxury of the real life pandemic in the rearview, I can honestly say the movie might have played it too safe - they didn't quite risk enough with the plot.
BOTTOM LINE: Thought provoking and creepy movie. Matt Damon does a surprisingly good job at playing the "everyman" and being extremely relatable. Must-see for almost all audiences now that we've experienced a pandemic.

Northern CA wine-country is an eternally interesting and beautiful place. Alan Rickman steals the show in every scene he's in - he's hilarious and a very convincing sommelier.
THE BAD: Chris Pine's character is odd and the costumes seem out of place. He's also involved in a predictable love triangle - but it's still a serviceable job by Pine.
The movie has also been criticized considerably for straying from the real life story
BOTTOM LINE: The feel-good story based on real life events is truly inspiring. It really captures the human spirit of the story that ultimately was the rise of Napa Valley. It also makes wine seem artfully delicious and leaves you wanting to know more.
