This series was unbelievably clever, funny, brilliant and outrageously fun. Tom Ellis was born for this role! The entire cast was amazing and the writers did a great job unraveling a beautiful story. I never thought I'd watch a show called "Lucifer" but I'm so glad I did. Who knew a show about the devil could be filled with so many life lessons on love, forgiveness and self expansion. It was also extremely entertaining and had me laughing out loud so many times with it's humorous lines , like when Maze was arguing with Adam and called him a "first pancake of a man". 😂😂 Lucifers wit and charm carried the show but the strong bad ass women really brought it all together. Just brilliant. I'm so sad it's over!
I read the book and I have to say, the movie really brought all the characters to life in such an amazing way- even better than my imagination did! Blake Lively did a phenomenal acting job and was perfect for the part. Her kind, yet strong and witty character is incredibly lovable and her chemistry with both Ryle's character and Atlas' character is so good. The movie portrayed Baldoni's character in a very tasteful way. It's a hard subject to shed light on but it was done beautifully. I really felt heartbroken for Ryle, given his own past loss and the demons he battled in his own life. Allysa's character (Lilly's best friend and sister to Ryle) gave us some comic relief with her humor. Young Lilly is literally like a little twin sister... I don't know how they found someone that perfect for the role! It's not easy turning a great book into an amazing movie, but they pulled it off. There were some scenes that were left out, however, that doesn't hugely detract from the movie or the message and overall story line. Well done. I thought it was fabulous!
I was away for the weekend and needed a show to watch in the evenings. I thought I would give this a go and finished the series in 2 sittings. I was left with my heart splayed wide open. Wow, I haven't been this touched by a show in a very long time. The acting was superb, the chemistry between the two main characters was so raw and real. Eugenio's character was endearing, charming and lovable. Even with Zoe Saldana being quite a bit older, she looks so good for her age I didn't even notice the age discrepancy. I loved the scenes in Italy and authentic Italian actors speaking beautiful Italian. Kudos to Zoe Saldana for her flawless Italian. I didn't realize this series was based on a true story until after, which makes me love it even more. It was truly one of the most beautiful love stories I've had the pleasure of seeing. They left nothing out. The character development for each character made me feel connected to them and the plot was rich and well thought out. It came full circle in such a beautiful way. This series will have an effect on me for quite some time.
