So so so so bad. Loved the original uk series which was amazing. Tentatively watched the us version which after a poor first season gradually grew in its skin to be absolutely amazing until Steve carrel left. I watched this Australian version despite seeing the terrible reviews. Oh my god the reviews were correct. There is no heart in the show. Every character is thoroughly unlikeable. The uk and us versions had unlikeable characters but they were funny. Not in this show. No humour whatsoever. The lead "actor" is awful as is everyone in this show. The only plus I can give this show is that.....actually I can't find anything.

Stellar vocal performance from the actress portraying Whitney Houston but ultimately sanitised for a 12 rating. Too many details are glossed over to achieve the family friendly rating. Drug use and abuse by Bobby brown are only hinted at when this ultimately should have been the main part of the story. Instead we get a generic story about an amazing singer which doesn't dig into the reasons behind the drug abuse nor her relationships or indeed her psyche in enough detail. I personally found the whole film a little but dull with little to recommend other than he song performances . As some have commented this feels like only a small step up from a tv movie.

I have no understanding why some critics said this show was good. Ok lily allen is in it. She's not an actor but is ok in this. It reminds me of Benidorm. Nothing really happens and it's not really funny and there is also not really much drama. It's massively overrated D it's a "sky original" . How many of those have been good? Promising young woman was good but really their output has been poor so it's not really a surprise to see content like this .lily Allen used to be famous for being.a drugged pop star and flashing her boobs. It doesn't appear there is much too much to her. Marry a stranger things actor ....
