Well.. I am wondering if there will come a time, when Netflix movie will be more high quality?
It seems to me most of the movies made are made to have it as a backdrop while cooking, which is too bad. Probably we are to blame cause we watch them and create demand.
This one in particular is actually a nice plot with a lot of potential due to popular romanticised reality of foreigners buying 1 euro houses in Italia, but it is again made so cheesy and corny and lacks depth or quality acting. Feels very superficial. Don't get me wrong, it still is a nice backdrop, mostly due to surroundings and location, but otherwise lacks depth heavily. It is too bad, cause all these films seem half-done, and like my parents used to tell me my whole life, getting things half done is worse than not doing them. I must agree.

Have been watching these series the past week and it is the reason why I oversleep in the morning cause I cannot stop watching it before going to sleep. I have started to watch it long ago and never continued. I wonder why... because it is so far a very magnetic show. Totally sucked me in.
I like the characters and their depth. I feel like this portrays how under certain circumstances certain qualities in people develop and how some are prone in one way and other in the other way. It reminds me of a movie the experiment, where they took regular people, psych tested them and placed some to play guards and some prisoners and sooner than later they developed masochistic and extremist personality traits or vice versa.

I really liked this series (1 season especially).
I love how every episode has it's own story and I like the narration and how the main character also grows up and seasons and gets to know herself and also how she reconnects with her mom.
I feel like we can all find pieces of us in this and I like how sadness, happiness, love, friendship and challenges wave throughout the show.
I think all characters are convincing, I also love the main red line that is Darby and Sara's friendship, very well acted and also humorous.
This took me to happiness and also to sadness and the thought that stayed was that it seems more realistic than other similar shows. In a life that really is chaotic and one knows not what is behind the corner and sometimes or many times lacks faith in things aligning, this also gives some kind of quiet and gentle hope at the end... Which I love. The world is complicated enough, so hope is something we all need.
