I've noticed this trend that any character Jodie Comer plays invariably makes a movie less interesting. In the beginning I was happy because she seems like a minor character and I thought this would be the exception. Womp she becomes a vocal point and this like all her other things becomes an overly drawn out and boring drama.

I wish this had stuck to the original's formula since it was 1) Entertaining 2) Terrifying and 3) Worked. Breaks my heart to say I can't recommend this movie and won't recommend it to even the most casual of horror fans.

See it for yourself but go in with really low expectations and I don't know maybe you'll be pleasantly surprised.

I don't understand all the negative reviews and can't believe it took me this long to find Malum. Where Last Shift was sometimes slow, uneventful, and confusing, Malum was well paced, exciting, and overall terrifying. The practical effects were amazing and I was honestly sad when the movie ended. It was a return to actual effects vs. CGI and was the most amazing type of horror. The whole vibe reminded me of The Void, another awesome movie.

Don't trust all these reviews, this movie was done much better than Last Shift. I'm sorry it got so much hate because it will probably never get the attention it deserves. Good for the director for identifying his weak spots and improving on his own project in basically every way.
