Heard about this film just recently, not sure why I never heard of it in the 1990s when it came out. The film sure was not low budget by any means for a 90s film . Lots of $$$ spent on the sets, extras, costumes and stuff. Real stunts and not CGI like nowadays. The SciFi theme fits in well with the 90s era, and the Y2K thing which was a popular angle for a lot of films back then.
Decent enough thriller, with some intense moments but was a bit slow at times.
So, 30yrs on, although it kinda looks dated its still a decent enough movie and better than a lot of the crap I've seen released these days.

Not a fan of Gundam, so watching this on a whim... as it came into my recommended movies list on Netflix.
I have to say, the animation is made up of very detailed images , photo realistic at times. I actually thought it was a mixed action + CGI type film at one point a the beginning. Amazing visuals.
The movement of the characters is a bit comic like or weird.. and the voices used for the actors are all over the show.
As far as the storyline, obviously some cliche scenes etc. From episode one I can figure out what the plot line will be for the series.
Other than that, l it looks decent enough (i'm only half way through it) Will update my rating later,.
