I am not fluent in Spanish... when I watch this, I had to sit with my girlfriend who is Spanish/Salvadorian, otherwise I am screwed.
This is a story about 2 people. Maria De La Luz and Estaban something. They were young lovers, but Estaban wound up with amnesia and forgot about Maria. Meanwhile, Maria has a child (I'm pretty sure it's Esteban's) but this other guy named Juan is trying to get Maria by being a father figure to her son.
Oh yeah, and one of the subplots is there's a girl and a guy (teenagers) and they like each other but the guy is a jerk sometimes. He's in a "rock and roll" band influencing themselves after Limp Bizkit... no joke... which means this show is outdated.
I would love to make a cameo in this show sometime as the Jewish boy in the background who looks like Fabrizio Moretti.
In conclusion, I give this show 4/5 stars... sort of.

Ever seen the classic "Ordinary People?" Remember when Conrad is dealing with his Post Traumatic Stress Disorder with his brother's death? Remember "Stand By Me" and the main character's missing his dead brother as well?
It's not like any of these.
It's much more like "Orange County." The main character, Nate (Josh Dean) came home from college. He's had a change of plans in terms of what he will be doing. His parents' marriage is on the fritz and they're going through marriage counseling while making inappropriate comments to Nate. Nate's old buddy (sort of) named Dove is like an imitation Jack Black('s character in Orange County). Only one episode has aired, so we'll see what happens to the series... I have a feeling it won't last too long, but for some reason, Josh Dean's character made me chuckle.
Why was I watching Fox anyway?

When I was 6-years-old, my parents gave this movie to me for Christmas/birthday. I watched it and loved it. I suppose my reason for loving it was because it was interesting to see someone considered "pure evil" to be transformed that way. I still like that part of the movie, and making it significant even more is that this is a True Story. I read this book as I have also read "Run Baby Run" (Same story told by the perspective of Nicky Cruz, with the addition of his life before and after.) Reading the stories, you take it very seriously... However, watching this movie, you might laugh. Yes, it is true and a powerful story indeed, but some love campy-70s-chickaWahWah-movies because of how goofy it is. I stand by my thoughts on it being a powerful story, but I love watching movies and finding humor in them that was not intended. This movie is very easy to do. So many lines in this movie kill me.
"Ok, dude. You go ahead and rap. Anybody give you steam, I'll pound 'em in the cream. Heh heh heh!"
"Chains!" "Blades!" "Bats!" "Zips!" "... Yeah, baby... but none of that Store-bought stuff."
