*Civil War (2024)* showed promise with its intriguing premise but ultimately fell short. The characters were largely forgettable, with no depth or memorable traits to engage the audience. A lack of meaningful character development left the story feeling hollow, as viewers struggled to connect with the protagonists or understand their motivations. The film missed key opportunities to explore its themes and deliver emotional impact. Instead, it relied heavily on action sequences, which, though visually impressive, couldn't compensate for the lack of narrative substance, making it a disappointing experience.
The only real tense moment with great acting was the scene with Jesse Plemons.

I enjoyed more the first half of the movie til the drug deal part. They shouldn't have focused on Ariel's failed deal. At some point it seemed as if HE was a main character.
As someone said it, the gun fights are not as good as the fist fights. For example the BMW scenes were just unnecessary and unreal. The story could have revolved more around Umbra and 13. Or even Jeki. Why does he even care about 13? Why does 13 care so much about a random kid? Maybe dig in her past.
At some point the fights were just too much. It never ends like in a John Wick movie. I really liked the feminine part of the movie. Great female duo.
