I bought this movie new on DVD at a resale outlet, and I only paid $1 for it as a result. However, the $1 cost was still too much as the storyline was very fragmented and hard to follow. The acting by the majority of the crew was also unconvincing, and the special effects overshadowed a poorly written plot.

Accordingly, I can now understand why the Ghost Rider franchise is one of the rare few Marvel Comics movie franchises that Stan Lee has refused to make a cameo appearance in. I also understand why Eva Mendes turned down the opportunity to reprise her role from the previous installment. And while I didn't think that the first Ghost Rider movie was great, it was at least somewhat entertaining, and it was certainly much more watchable than this version. Hopefully, the producers will not decide to do a third Ghost Rider movie with Nicolas Cage in the starring role.

Listen, Cage is an Academy Award winning actor whose talents I admire in numerous other roles, but he was never well-suited as a good fit for this specific role. Accordingly, perhaps the producers should either retire the Ghost Rider franchise completely, or they should consider doing a reboot with a different actor at the helm that is directed by a more skilled director with a successful track record. Some that come to mind include: Christoper Nolan (Batman Franchise), McG (Charlie's Angels), Bryan Singer (X-Men), or J.J. Abrams (Lost, Star Trek XI) to name a few. One of them could likely do a much better job on creating a more successful version of the Ghost Rider character, which is based on the comic books.

Otherwise, it's very easy to understand why this movie received low ratings due to the lack of well known actors, the poorly written script that resulted in a disjointed/fragmented storyline, and the inability of Nicolas Cage to come across as believable in his dual role as Johnny Cage/The Ghost Rider character. Best wishes to all who watch this movie, and I look forward to a much better interpretation of the Ghost Rider character in the future, as this film severely fell short of the success that many other Marvel Comic book characters have experienced in theaters, once they were converted into films that fans enjoyed.

Adam Sandler should be ashamed of himself for producing this movie. It is an embarrassment to the Happy Gilmore legacy! When I initially saw the trailers for this movie in theaters, I questioned why it was made because it just didn't seem to be believable. Now granted, Al Pacino was great as always and he delivered his lines with the professionalism that he dedicates to every project. However, not even Pacino could save this poorly written, ill-conceived, sad piece of drivel that permanently left a black stain on the Sandler franchise which will never be erased or forgotten.

Jack and Jill was lacking in imagination, creativity, humor, spontaneity, and any form of enjoyment that could even remotely entertain the viewer. Accordingly, I'm not sure why one of his friends that he repeatedly casts in his projects didn't quietly pull Adam aside and politely tell him that this movie was shite!

With the exception of Sandler himself, it was clear from the promotional interviews that all of those that acted in this movie were aware that it lacked to ability to be a breakout box office success. That just goes to show that his friends are willing to appear in anything Sandler writes, as long as it results in a financial bonanza for them. But if they would have been true friends, they would have told him just exactly how outrageous, flat, and disjointed this movie was w/ the exception of Al Pacino.

Jack and Jill clearly shouldn't have been greenlit by the studio since most of us could tell from the outset that it was an outrage! It ranks up there with other epic classics that failed at the box-office miserably including: Howard the Duck; Battlefield Earth: A Saga of the Year 3000; Waterworld; John Carter; and Death to Smoochy.

After seeing the movie trailer I decided to wait until this movie aired on cable to watch it, and that's exactly what I did because I was unwilling to invest any extra finances on it via Redbox or Netflix, and I certainly wasn't going to pay the price of a movie ticket to view it.

I hope that Sandler has taken time to reflect on this film failure in order to learn a valuable lesson about writing more enjoyable future films. Also, let's hope that the movie studios will stop green-lighting disappointing movie scripts like this one.

After all, people criticize Tyler Perry for his Madea character which they call annoying in some cases, but at least Mr. Perry makes profit with his movies because they are entertaining. Lately Adam Sandler's movies have become a disappointing means to a paycheck! And I hope that getting paid is not what's motivating him to write lately, or it just emphasizes just how sad the entertainment industry has become as an industry!!!!!!!
