The movie is subtitled, which I like, but the subtitles are not accurate

contrary to some of the comments, the acting in good,

Along with the others the special effects are excellent, the action is great

Most of the confusion is cleared up by simply watching the movie all the way through, I believe a lot of the reviewers did not actually do this

The ending was very gripping, and does not adhere to hollywood protocol, so I'm guessing some are upset over this if they did finish the movie

Yea, there are a couple of things that needed a little work, but what movies don't, its subjective

If you like sci fi and action and come to this w/o expectations, you WILL definitely like the movie.

The movie starts out with a classroom of teen agers, at th end of c;lass two teen girls kiss each other on the lips Shortly after one of these teen girls is kissing an older guy on the mouth.

Soon later the same two teen girls are mouthing kissing again\.

Shortly after that the same two teen girls are mouth kissing. Honestly I kind of lost track of the kiss stuff , but it was kind of a tag team thing

Then at around 10-14 min in the older guy and teen gal are sexing on a bed, at that point I went looking for something else to watch

Its obvious Russia was trying for an audience outside of Russia, and had zero knowledge of the what the american audience would like to watch, well 99.9 % of it anyway.

The movie starts out good, enjoyable, there is a conflict and humor. But even in the start up you get the sense of darkness to the movie

As the movie winds on the humor grows pretty much non existent and family drama and creature peril and extremely malevolent people are what is is all about. No more light hearted movie.

The nice thing is, when it comes to true story hollywood style movies, the whole thing is always just fiction. In this case you have a dog who protected penguins, and then shove in all the crap

This movie is probably inappropriate for children 12 and under, maybe even 14 and under.
