I was looking forward to watching the fourth part in the series since Eddie Murphy used to be my favourite actor. I have to admit that my patience has paid off!!! Even though many of Netflix movies are bad, this one didn't look at all like a Netflix movie ! It was funny, with lots of action and great music ! I was not bored even for a minute! Addie Murphy does not age at all unlike others actors who didn't take care of themselves so well. Even GordonLewitt looks much older- "at least use some sunscreen and emollient cream man!" . For me this was the only sad part of the story. But the main actor , Eddie Murphy is finally back to action like in the past.
I also liked several things about the movie. Some scenes looked very 80's like , such as the drive to the Beverly Hills which was very evidently shot still with a green screen , the 80's music and the action scenes. The scenario was also 80-90s-like, as the "police-comedy /action-comedy' films at that time. The combination of modern technology and cameras with 80s features gave to the film the desired effect without making it look cheap and fake.

I do not know where to begin with! Since the plot has already been described I will state my opinion and all the bad facts I noticed. First of all I think I laughed 3-4 times out of 120 minutes duration so 1 laugh every 30 mins! You could laugh more if you watched a horror movie ! Then the comedy deals with all the stereotypes of the American culture ! I do not what's wrong with the Hollywood but many people take the subway in cities , not just the Afroamericans and the Mexican immigrants ! Then , in the U.S. there are many immigrants from third world countries who are doctors / engineers etc and moved to the U.S. to pursue a Better life / to escape for the war etc... It doesn't mean the because they are not licensed to work in the U.S. , they are incapable and unskilled to do their professions!! Finally why they always have to create the same classic scenario of how a guy/ girls aged to change because he/she found the other half? There is no innovation , nothing funny or prototypical ! They try to force people to laugh by putting the actors into awkward situations as moments and not by their actions and their actual script ! Disappointing !
This is a good remake of the 1962 movie. There was a proper selection of actors to their corresponding roles. There were some funny moments, involving both funny scripts and funny actions. To top up, the movie was enriched with beautiful scenery from the island of Poros and a bit of choreography.
In sort, the movie was a replica of the the old one, reproduced with new technology and new actors. The scenery, the acting, the script and the plot were all reminding of the "golden era" of Greek cinema back in 60's and 70's. The new actors were even trying to mimic the gestures and the way of acting of the old ones!! Since the production was supported by the same company as the old movie, probably that was deliberate.
Although, I believe that some scenes could have been directed in a better way. overall I think that was a funny comedy and a good opportunity of the young to discover the all-time classics of the Greek cinema!
