I loved it! Amazing, amazing film. It almost had my heart racing at some bits, and it was really well put together. 2007 and early 2008 have been really full of crappy action movies, and I haven't felt really happy with a movie in a long time, so take my word for it, it's really great. Lots of exhilarating car chase scenes, plot twists, etc.. And Dennis Quaid and Matthew Fox really make the film worth seeing, although Forest Whitaker's role kind of made me scratch my head (he seemed a little bit creepy in my opinion). I felt like I was seeing the president get shot first-hand, and I almost forgot that it was a movie that I was watching... Awesome movie, I loved it!
How could you not love this movie? It was a great beginning to one of the best stories ever told on screen (and in writing!). Based on J.R.R. Tolkien's "trilogy", the 3 films that make up "Lord of the Rings" are incredible. However, the other two films would be NOTHING if it hadn't been for Peter Jackson's work in "The Fellowship". If it hadn't attracted as many people as it did, the other movies wouldn't have been hits! The film follows the story of Frodo Baggins, a hobbit who has to embark on a dangerous quest to destroy the Ring of Power, which was forged by the evil Sauron. The ring is powerful, and if it falls into the wrong hands, doom will come. Frodo must destroy it in Mount Doom (a volcanic mountain), where it was made. It's a journey he cannot make alone, so he has the help of Samwise Gamgee, Gandalf (the wizard), Merry and Pippin (two hobbits that offer comic-relief), Aragorn (who plays a larger role in "The Return of the King", as does Sam), Boromir of Gondor, Legolas (who makes all the girls in the audience go "whoo") and Gimli (the humorously rough dwarf). The movie is full of action, and certain points where interesting dialogue is made (especially between Gandalf and Frodo, in the ruins of Moria). I recommend that you watch this film, because not only has won Academy Awards, but the whole project itself is something that no one has ever done before.
I loved this film, which I watched quite awhile back, but still remember very clearly. All the songs were excellent, including amazing dance sequences (props to Prabhu!), and Kajol was beautiful, as always. One of the best songs in the movie includes a parade, great choreography with both Prabhu and Kajol. In the film, Kajol's character wants to become a nun, and is dedicated to God. However, Arvind's character loves her, and would do anything to have her love him, so he hires another guy (Prabhu) to do the work. As it turns out, Prabhu's character falls in love with her. So now, the girl is caught between two guys while she is aspiring to become a nun. And when you're a nun, there is no time for men...so it seems like the perfect solution. However, she is torn between her choices... I recommend that you watch this movie, because it has a great plot, a WONDERFUL ending, great music and all in all, it's just plain entertaining!
