The movie is very visually pleasing to sci-fi fans. Filled with stereotypes, cliche tropes, and classic archetypes, never before has the word trite been more apropos. I wanted to like it very much. But, the entire time I found myself thinking, "This is so stupid." Ryan George should have a field day with this one.
What's the name of the dreadnought Kings Gaze supposed to be a double entendre, I wonder? I will not elaborate.
I can see how this would appeal to children. And, perhaps, if someone were new to space operas, they might really enjoy this one, because it is filled with every single type of moment and character that can be gleaned from the entirety of the genre.
