The title itself sums this film up in a nutshell. "Hercules in New York" just screams cheese, low budget and ludicrousy. And that's exactly what you get.
As far as the film is concerned, there's probably more goofs than words. The sound is all over the place, and so is the camera! The acting is abysmal (apart from Pluto, he was alright) and Arnie is as stiff as a board.
However, I really enjoyed this film. It's silly, it's fun and it's Arnie! If anything it's great to see just how far you think he's come over the years. The unnecessary moments that all Arnie fans are used to, in which he'll decide for no good reason to reveal his phenomenal body structure are as prominent as ever, and this is another plus point for me.
It's a bad film, but you cant come away feeling cheated, watch it for what it is.
2* for the film. And 3* for Arnie.

I watched 'Tales from the Crypt' with no prior knowledge, just seeing its description in the paper, seeing it included Joan Collins and with nothing else better to do at 1.20am, settled down not knowing what to expect.
The basic plot line revolves around a small group of strangers, who, having taken the time out of their day to visit a crypt supposedly housing the bodies of Tudor monks, end up lost and encounter the mysterious Crypt Keeper (Richardson) who reveals to them their dreary, deceitful and fatal near futures.
I personally felt this film took a good 20 minutes to get off the ground, and I considered whether going to sleep was a better option. However I promise if you give this a bit of time you wont regret watching.
The different stories contain a great amount of variety, thus making 'Tales' not at all repetitive. The acting is solid, the highlight for me being Peter Cushing's performance as the gentle old man Mr Grymesdyke.
The effects still carry their outdated charm and from today's perspective, 'Tales' cant avoid dishing out a harmless dose of cheese.
I wont hint at the stories or spoil anything for you, as I feel not knowing what to expect from this film makes for a better viewing experience. All I can say is if you give it the time, you wont be disappointed.
