Amazing reboot, different theme from your typical superhero as per all Marvel Studio films so far.
The theme for this one is grounded, street-level and teen oriented; and wonderfully executed.
The acting is superb from the cast, but Michael Keaton is the gift that keeps on giving. His presence and facial expressions stole the scenes as per his acting signature. Marissa Tomei was a delight and so were the young high school cast. Robert Downey Jr was as per his usual self, he didn't hog the scenes but he complimented Tom Holland very nicely in their scenes.
In regards to the link to the other MCU films, well it was there but it wasn't over bearing, this film felt very separate and individual but with the rest of the other films lingering in the background with their impact to the universe.
I would say this film is EQUAL to Wonder Woman as far as superhero films this year goes. Both are amazing and well executed.
Who said Super hero films are getting stale?

Who said Super hero films are getting stale?
- Story is illogical, doesn't make sense. King Arthur knights with Transformers helping them? Merlin using Cybetron tech as Magic?.. What?
- Human Soldiers die everywhere, but the main stars live even after being thrown around from explosions, puts the Avengers to shame in toughness.
- A planter approaches the earth and no environmental impact apart from abrasion from the mechanical structures. What?
- Bumblebee being around since World War 1? What?
- Tiny Dinobots that look misplaced and useless? Huh?
- 14 year old girl who was kicking butt at the start, although was dressed inappropriately channeling Megan Fox from Part 1 was uncomfortable to watch.
- Great Special Effects though... out of the 149 minutes of movie run time I would say 140 mins had yelling, action scenes or loud explosions/noises going on. It was tiring.
Finally, a film that has the charms, likable characters, coherent story line... and provides good entertainment.
Gal Gadot is a great choice for Diana Prince and the rest of the cast were good choices also. It's not going to win any acting awards but adequate for this sort of film.
The strength of the film lies in the main characters and how their journey and story together were told, in my opinion WB/DC have failed at this with Man of Steel, Batman vs Superman and definitely Suicide Squad, but Wonder Woman is a tier or two better in presenting this to the audience.
Worthy to compare to Marvel Studio's better efforts for sure.
If you like superhero films... go watch it, I highly recommend it.
