The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is certainly a special film, consisting of magnificent action, spectacular special-effects and amazing performances from the likes of Andrew Garfield, Jamie Foxx and Dane DeHaan, oh, and there certainly is a superior story.
I am one who believes Andrew Garfield is a better Spider-Man compared to Tobey Maguire and this film secured my thoughts. Jamie Foxx was a commendable Electro, Emma Stone was the beyond average love interest, but the star of the show was Dane DeHaan's flawless Harry Osborn. All these actors and many more showed the emotional depth the characters needed and embodied the personalities from the comics perfectly.
The script and story was the same old Spider-Man formula, only it was told in such a compelling way that it was a film of its own. My only problem with the script refers to Paul Giamatti, whose dialogue felt a bit flat. The pacing of the film was a bit iffy, as if the start was rushed, but it found a suitable speed half-way through.
The visuals were flawless, maybe a front-runner for this years VFX Academy Award. It created such a vibrant picture, introducing epic eye- candy.
I was not fond of James Horner's score for the first Spidey reboot, but Hans Zimmer, he is the king of film composing. The soundtrack was phenomenal and creates a perfect image of Spider-Man.
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 was a nice, visual blockbuster, but had a few issues, so I give it a 7.5/10, behind Spider-Man 2 and The Amazing Spider-Man.

I love Lego and Marvel, and if you add the two together, you end up with brick-smashing awesomeness. I wasn't particularly keen on Lego's previous superhero game, Batman 2: DC Superheroes, but I had a lot of faith in this game due to the incredible roster of characters, the immense scale of the hub and the epic story built with action and comedy. I also enjoyed the Lego Lord of the Rings, and Lego City Undercover so Lego games had regained my faith. The detail put into characters such as Iron Man and the Avengers, Spider-Man, Wolverine and the X-men and so many more famous comic book heroes and villains was awesome. They nailed the behaviour of the characters, actions, looks, all perfect. The game also has great voice acting like Nolan North as Deadpool, who is as funny as ever, alongside more great voice actors like Adrian Pasdar, Clark Gregg, Laura Bailey, Roger Craig Smith, Steve Blum, Travis Willingham and so many more great voices. This game proved Deadpool didn't need explicit content to be Deadpool, but most probably the best character is the one, the only, Stan Lee. Lego Marvel is a creative, hilarious and action-packed game with so many surprises in store. Perfect for any True Believer. 10/10.
