FFXII (2006) This game is one of my all time favorites as well as one of my top favorite Final Fantasy games. I know it's been criticized for its "boring" political story by some, but that's right up my alley and my favorite cuppa tea. I'm drawn to games (media) with complex politics plots and characters with various motivations. This game kept me compelled throughout the entirety of it.

I found the gameplay, graphics, story, and characters all super memorable and compelling as well. I love the characters of Vaan, Ashe, Basch, Balthier, Fran and Penelo. The world building was immersive and the art style and music was fantastic.

This game is definitely one of my favorites.

MASS EFFECT (2007) is one of those games that became an instant classic. Heavy science fiction storytelling, space travel, alien planets, multiple choices, complex character development and relationships. Strong rpg vibes and entertaining space shooter elements. The world feels rich.

"In a technologically advanced future, an elite human soldier takes command of a prototype star ship and works to defend the galaxy from danger."

Mass Effect was a game that I never expected to love as much as I did, back in the day. I had initially rolled my eyes at all the hype it had initially received but after giving it a chance, I soon got it. It's very fun. The world building, story, lore, and character development all weave a fascinating game.

Definitely recommend.

MADiSON (2022) Wow. Where to begin? This game was pretty immersive and fascinating with some pretty cool graphics and an intriguing back story straight out of the gate. One part escape room and obe part psychological descent into demonic possession. One question leads to many more questions...

While I really enjoyed this game overall, I tend to agree with the other reviewers that mentioned the slower pacing which effected the playthrough in a negative way and slowed down the overall momentum that was necessary to build and sustain tension and fear.

"Play as Luca, and endure the brute torture of MADiSON, a demon that has forced him to continue a gory ritual started decades ago, making him commit abominable acts. Will you be able to finish this sinister ceremony?"

The graphics, story, and overall atmosphere kept this game interesting through the many head-scratching puzzles. Definitely recommended if you enjoy clue hunting and mysterious puzzles set in a twisted dark atmosphere.
