It was never about the film. In earlier reviews I pointed out that the most successful actor to emerge from the Ginny and Georgia series was a young Katie Douglas -- the amount of attention she drew from producers and casting directors was entirely disproportionate to her actual screen time. I predicted that in short order she would have her very own film to work with. And this seems to be it. Which is really an unfortunate way to launch a career. Technically perfect -- a trait of all Canadian horror films going back to the 1980s -- the story is terrible, and the director is completely incapable of rescuing even a portion of it. Worse, a large part of the action takes place at night in dim lighting, an obstacle even the best creators cannot easily overcome. As for Douglas, she barely holds her own given the terrible script and dead-end role. She deserves another chance. ((Designated "IMDb Top Reviewer." This review done in 2025, 20 years in the future. You wouldn't like it here. The world has changed ... a lot. Ditto for TV. Modern TV seems to prefer educating viewers rather than entertaining them. So your reviewer was watching reruns of CSI and came upon this gem, a 2-part finale directed by QT himself. Almost cinema quality -- which these days, here in the future, 2025, is a pretty low bar. Your grandparents were right. Things were better back then, when people took pride in their work. ((Designated "IMDb Top Reviewer." This is experimental cinema... a hodgepodge of various genres and styles based entirely on the imagination of the creator ... nothing wrong with that. In the 1960s, for example, the brilliant Sergio Leone accidentally created an entirely new class of film which HAD NEVER EXISTED BEFORE -- the "Italian western." Not merely a financial success -- it turned a failed, out-of-work, actor named Clint Eastwood into a Hollywood icon. Does lightening strike twice? Not here, it doesn't. Sorry. The rating is for technical merit only. The film itself will put you to sleep. ((Designated "IMDb Top Reviewer."
