Nothing wrong about this movie at all. It's a nice, entertaining story about two kids who grew up together. She likes him but he's too immature to see her. Sounds sappy because it is but it was very well done and I enjoyed it. By the end I found myself invested in their relationship.
The acting is great on all parts. The dynamic between the two families is very real. One poor, one well off. The setting in the 1960's showcases a simpler time before all the distractions kids have today.
If you're looking for a nice and easy going movie, give Flipped a shot. Rob Reiner does a terrific job directing as usual. He has a way of telling a story in the most non-offensive way possible. I also really enjoyed the two perspectives from the main characters.
There are a few side plots that are interesting too. The one father has a mentally handicapped brother. The other was a musician in the past and now lives with resentment. The grandfather misses his late wife. Overall, this is just a good movie about life.

I guess this is the age we live in. Where mediocre shows are praised because there's nothing else really out there. There are moments where this show is interesting but it's just ruined by the terrible effects. They're not scary and obviously CGI. The only good effect I can remember was the mom in the bed with the umbilical cord coming out of her. That was cool.
You also don't even see the clown until the 5th episode and he's mid too. Just a weird voice. I don't know, I'm not impressed with him or this series. Didn't like the new movies too. IMO Tim Curry was a 10x better actor and was actually interesting to watch. This is just CGI trash with jump scares.
Also, IT isn't supposed to be scary all the time. That's the whole point of him materializing as a clown. Because it's something that lures children in so he can catch them. So when you have a scary weirdo clown all the time, it may as well be Freddy Kruger. But hey, what do I know?
