I can attach a camera to a ceiling and arrange everything so it looks all symmetrical. Check

I can cast 2 people that have contributed to the downfall of cinema after they were already famous enough.. scarlett johansson and cumberbatch. Check

I can cover everything in pastel hues and digitally tweak everything so it looks just so, like i have done on all my previous movies. Check

I can create a story that has no depth or significance, just like all my previous movies. Check

I can make my audience watch my movies in stone cold silence for an hour and then have them titter knowingly after. Check

i can cast three central actors who are very good because i'm wes anderson. Check.

Those of us that were around during the time period depicted here in the u.k will be able to vouch for how well done it is .. I'd not seen/heard that chatback advertisement for years and years and had forgotten all about that .. before the internet at night they would show these seedy adverts on tv.. smarter people would know it was the road to ruin and that you'd probably be talking to someone's grandmother on the phone

Anyway it was a next level detail and thank you to whoever remembered it and included it in this episode

What's great about the episode as well is that it does feel feasible somehow and not a huge stretch of the imagination in some respects.. old code that evolves and bites back later
