I have seen the first season and this cartoon is drawn absolutely stunning. Background music is beautiful. This kind of cartoon is more mature than manga. Although manga is nice, I prefer this.

The episodes start from great and after the fourth episode it slowly slides downward to good. I like the story. It is about a female John Wick character who wants to get her revenge. She gets into a lot of fights and gets beaten up a lot, but somehow she recovery amazingly.

I am curious about the second season. If the makers manage to maintain the quality of the first episode of the first season, I will gladly watch that one too.

The story is about a girl Suzume who meets a guy who is a door closer. He closes doors to a different world where big cloud worms are who gets through the doors to earth. When they get to earth they can destroy earth. Due to cornerstones the worms are bound to the different worlds I guess. Not really clear about that.

So there is a guy who closes the doors. But who opened them is not clear as well. Suzume follows the guy to the door, opens it and gets the cornerstone that tranforms into a cat. The cat transforms the guy into a threelegged chair and runs away.

A big part of the movie the girl chases the cat with the chair and that's about it. At the very end where the movies starts to wrap up it gets interesting, beautiful music and the movie kind of dies into an anti climax.

I get the feeling movies like these are made to show the audience what good drawing is. But a cartoon is more than only beautiful pictures. As a viewer I want to be entertained from the beginning to the end. Watching this movie I paused it from time to time because it is not interesting. It is only interesting from time to time but most of the time weird and not understandable. This is a movie with cloud worms, cat Gods, random people showing up ad not a story that seems to make a big impact that ca blow me away.

So sure, it was a good movie, nice story, but not very great.

I watched a lot of manga movies when I was young. Now I am older, I am more interested in anime with a good story.

This movie is about a boy and a girl who, miraculously, switch bodies. At the beginning it is not clear wheter the switching already began because the girl is touching her breasts and people around her tell her she acted weird the day before. And then suddenly the switching begins and the boy and girl see their lives through the eyes of the other person. It was quite messy, or I just did not get it.

The movie is well drawn. I don't know why, but the drawers have a thing with sliding doors all the time, which have nothing to do with the story of the movie. In the movie Suzumi we see the sliding doors coming back.

The story is very slow paced, not interesting and after an hour it goes from very slow paced to slow paced with a good soundtrack as background music. It is like watching a Marvel movie; the first half is not what you came for to the cinemas and all the action is stuffed in the second half because people only remember the last part to give the movie a high rating on IMDb.

So sure the movie was good, but was not that great. The storyline and what really is going on could been stuffed in a lot shorter movie and had left the viewer with a more satisfied feeling. Cartoons like these have a good story, but have the nag to drag it for a longer movie time than is nessecary.
