We are big fans of the national treasure films, this is not quite up to that level but if you're looking for a fun, action filled, "a little bit more violent with some pg deaths" and family friendly fun, then this is a great movie to spend an evening watching! We read the negative reviews as well as positive reviews and like you we were wondering whether to watch this movie or not. But we decided to pull the trigger, and we're very glad we did! It was fun full on action, a couple of little unbelievable plot holes but you kind of wish it was true, the special effects were really good especially the underwater scenes and the finale, and totally worth the watch! So don't believe the negative reviews jump in, have fun, and enjoy!

My wife and I love the B grade Rom com movies like this but this one actually surpassed our expectations by quite a bit! Good writing, really well acted and very very sweet! Good chemistry between the main characters and certainly a level above what you would expect from this kind of Movie. It's still a basic Rom com it's not up to the A-grade level of Notting Hill, Love Actually or anything like that, but it was really nice and well worth a watch. At the start we just thought it was going to be another standard Rom com and we just decided to watch it and see, but it turned out to be quite a bit better than we expected.

This is much better than the reviews you've already read. Sure you have to like romcoms. But that's the point!! It's a romcom!! If you don't like them don't watch them... but we love romcoms and we loved this movie. Enjoyable fun sweet lighthearted and seriously people are idiots that watch this expecting miracles when it's a romcom!?! We enjoyed the fact it wasn't some "American" driving the boat and it brought a bit of realism to the whole thing by the love interest being a local. George Clooney is as charming as ever. Julia Roberts is as fun and believable as ever. The beer pong game was epic and funny as hell with some great music. Just enjoy this movie for what it's supposed to be. Haters gonna hate and they're stupid! :) Watch it you'll be pleasantly surprised. X.
