A good cast wasted by completely implausible script. After four episodes, I have lost count of the number of deaths. The main characters seem to extricate themselves from difficult situations by killing everyone around them, whether they are villains or innocent bystanders. London seems to almost free of traffic, enabling characters to park wherever they want. Every time the Ben Whithshaw murders somebody or blows up a building, he makes no attempt to drive off, as he spends his time chatting to his ex on the phone. Kiera Knightly is able to beat of attackers in her house without waking up the family. Each episode becomes more ludicrous than the last. I really can't see myself getting to the end of this stinker.
One of the best television series that I ha seen in a long time. It reminded me of the memorable shows of yesteryear that had everybody's staying in to watch each episode. The production values are astounding and the story keeps us reminded of what is going on in the world as we watch. Truly chilling.! Superb acting all round, with a special nod to Lesley Manville, who shines in everything she does.
Good to see the war through Polish eyes. Historically accurate? Who cares? A gripping story that never ceases to remind us of the horrors that people endured and continue to endure, whilst others cheer on brutal would-be dictators who rob us of everything that we have gained over the last 70 years.
