I watched this film a few months ago and I was very impressed with Spacey's performance, as always. There is one thing that bothers me though- why was he supporting actor? It is true that he does not do very much in the narrative, which occupies the main core of the film, yet he is the narrator (like Morgan Freeman in Shawshank Redemption, which earned him an Oscar nomination for Best Leading Actor, and there was a debate about whether it should have been Tim Robbins), and given that he is the latent villain as well, should he not have been nominated as Best Leading Actor? Does anyone agree with me here? I am convinced that if he had been nominated for Best Leading Actor, he would have won the Oscar because his portrayal of the apparently weak yet sophisticated Verbal Kint was very powerful, especially since his role was very difficult to play (harder than his role as Lester Burnham in American Beauty, in my opinion).

I watched this movie a long time ago and I thought that it was...... hilarious? Original? I don't know... I cannot describe this film. I can only say that I could not stop laughing when I watched it, especially the bit when 'Gau Suk' was in the pub and was trying to escape... the pseudo-urgency and the fake emotional input from the actors was... not original but hilarious and refreshing... I thought that the film was a thrilling ride of fun, yet apart from its hilarity it had a moral dimension that examined the morality of infidelity... with good humour.

One of my favourite comedies- Ned and Stacey. It is funny and entertaining, and I am impressed by the fact that each character has his/her own individual character: Ned being self-centred and arrogant; Stacey being kind and tough; Eric being immature and weak; Amanda being aggressive and clever. It is a pity that the programme ended with Ned losing his job and Stacey finding a new apartment- not a happy ending. I have enjoyed watching this programme and would like to praise all of those involved in the programme for their magnificent effort.
