Had to write this after seeing the 8.0 score...

Quit the theatre after 45 minutes to avoid this lobotomy through the eyes.

Scene after scene, shot after shot, line after line, action after action of completely random, nonsensial, illogical, unneccessary, uninspired, CGI overdone, artificial looking, miscasted, disjointed mess.

It's pointless listing the flaws since the flaws are the only ingredient.

No rootable characters. I wouldn't care if a swarm of AH-64's came and wiped out everybody.

Fury road was a Shakesepearian drama compared to this.

I suggest you watch Civil war for some real, thought out postap atmosphere and action.

Interesting premise - combine eco-activism with a debt situation, since both are due to overconsumption.

Two guys without jobs and in debt find their selves while bluffing their way into eco activist group. There is a girl that both of them are interested in. She maybe later becomes interested back. There is a crisis, and a redemption, and a shock. Cliches so far, not a problem in itself...

But it feels like move added no additional depth to this, barely a summary, that I've written. That screenwriters went from this, to final product, too fast. Why did they end up debt, why the romantic theme?

We don't learn not much about global eco or economical situation. We do see that they are all just people and it seems that their cause is futile, since no impact is ever shown. Support groups for people in debt are shown so I became aware that they exist, nice.

Handheld cam, fast cuts, annoying overhyping music don't help the movie. Some jokes are funny, many of them just too basic or repetitive. The two main heroes are not particulary interesting. Half an hour too long.

Great opening, though!

Just to warn average movie fan that likeas Mononoke or Nausicaa that this movie is very boring, even more than the one with the ww2 aviation.

I am literally browsing the web on my phome while waiting for the movie to end. I would recommend this only to Miyazaki's biggest fans, that have seen all of his movies.

Just seems like a random dream world... And now to add more characters to the review... Rewatching Nausicaa or Mononoke or Chihiro would be a better time investment. Turns oit that people I am watching this with have seen nome of tbose. Had I known I would organize a movie night at home.
