I enjoyed watching "The Rock's" new movie. It is a kids' movie and for what it strives to be it fully delivers.
Dwayne Johnson plays a veteran hockey player, that was denied his chance with the pro's due to a shoulder injury. This seems to mark his life and makes him shatter dreams. This reason brings him to be judged by faeries and sentenced to tooth fairy duty. The problems and lessons that occur from now on will make him rethink his way of life and put it in order.
Great film for the kids, good film to watch if you are an adult. Recommend it if you want to sit down for a few moments and have a few good laughs.

I finally got to see the all so acclaimed AVATAR movie. And it was nothing special. I admit, the CGIs were worth every penny, but that's all. Maybe my expectations were to high, but c'mon, this is the guy that made Terminator, The Abyss and Titanic. He has a standard to uphold. I was expecting the story and the action to keep me at the edge of my seat, and... nothing. It actually looked to me like more of a western movie set somewhere into the future. I am sorry, but after seeing it, my only conclusion is that it has its sales only from the fact it has been so hugely promoted that people actually convinced themselves that this actually is that good. I give it a 5 star out of 10 for the effects. If you want to see things go bang go see it, if not stay home.
First of all I didn't expect much of this movie. But I actually got surprised a little. The story is nothing special, but surprisingly, the acting is decent. Ted actually gave a good performance taking into account that he is not an actor and he is at his first ever movie. Decent action, but now I know Vince loves the superman gimmick a lot, and I do mean A lot, but this is a little to much, he breaks his arm, but still uses it, he survives an explosion and a mountain coming down on him. I know it might be just me, but i do think that hat pulls the movie down a little.
Anyway, if you want a little entertainment on an afternoon, I recommend this movie, it works.
