The first 2 seasons are just incredible. Perfect in every cinematic sense - great cast, great performance, great script with a lot of edge-of-your-seat tension and even tears-rolling comic scenes. It felt similar to how 1st season of Prison Break felt - clever plot and people you want to invest in.

The 3rd season, in my opinion, tried to maintain the same vibe but you could see clearly the creators dropped out their originality in favor of getting a popular Netflix series so they started filling it with the cliche characters and scenes that are typical to the Netflix (garbage?) shows.

The 4th season is where it seems the show decided they didn't care about keeping true to the original show and started making characters behave in a completely out-of-character ways. The script started to have major loop holes and a few too many "coincidences" and "Deus ex machina" moments.

The last season was bordering on the unbearable. Cutting away from the few minutes of intense action almost all the time to show cutscenes of events and people whose story didn't need to be told and served no real purpose. The melodrama was turned on heavy and in certain episodes the real show was like 25% and the rest just emotional fluff.

It gets so bad towards the last half of the season that you stop really caring about any of the characters (the characters that we have known and loved intensely over the first 2 seasons and the new 1 dimensional characters that were introduced in the new show) and just wish they would get on with whatever will happen next even if they should die. Oh and the last 2 seasons you can also start to see the creators building to create a spinoff about certain characters who are supposed to be dead but somehow 50% screen time is dedicated to telling their stories and memories.

Overall, this is a watchable show that starts very very good and then takes a nose dive (but still remains watchable) in later seasons.

Any tv show or movie starts by a set of "facts" and the viewer must accept those facts in order to enjoy the rest of the show.

The thing with Hanna is that this suspension of belief will need to be extreme.

I liked the show and give it 6-7 but I also acknowledge this is not a show that you will enjoy if you're paying too much attention to details.

The main premise of the show makes very little sense and has massive holes. A lot of the suspense sequences are made with illogical jumps that make you wonder how exactly did they get from A to B. The main character, Hanna, can portray the personality of a teenager who was raised to be the ultimate soldier but she cannot really fight all that well. Everyone is traveling across Europe in a matter of minutes to the point where you feel the European continent is no larger than a big city.

All that said, there are enough decent plot twists and action to keep you engaged throughout all 3 seasons.

We binged this show over a week and to be frank I never felt bored (except for a few times when they used drama to fill in gaps).

I think the low rating is reasonable considering the movie was made in 2008. Back then, the market was flooded with parody movies following the success of Scary Movie. Movie history had a lot of parody films but they were usually decent quality and separated by years. Then between 2005-2008 there were at least 15 big parody titles and the genre pretty much became boring and repetitive.

So, I didn't see this movie till the time I wrote this review (2023). I don't think it's any worse than other spoof titles of this era - a plot line that makes fun of all major superhero movies made till that point (mind you this was before Marvel so they really didn't have a lot of source material - only Spider-Man, Batman and X-men). The punchlines aren't always clever and the acting isn't always perfect but this exactly was why other spoof titles of the time were successful.

Overall, I thought this was an entertaining movie. We laughed out loud a few times (particularly Leslie Nielsen's lines and performance).

I think this is worth watching if you're in the mood for a totally stupid parody comedy.
