I just can't handle the laugh track. It might be watchable if it were not for the laugh track. The acting is not great and the writing is bad, but the laugh track is what kills this show. The accents seem fake as well. But again it is the laugh track that kills this show. Why do studios keep using this outdated technology. Fake laughing about a guy dying on a toilet.
I loved the 70s Show and the 90s show is almost as good but I HATE THE LAUGH TRACK!!!! Why does anyone think that laugh tracks are a good idea? Maybe if they made it actually sound like a live audience it would not be so bad but this laugh track is horrible and does nothing but distract from the story. I hope this series will continue but I hope they will end the laugh track. I also hope they will have more cameos from the 70s show. Those are always fun. Know for the story telling. It fits the 70s show really well. Red and Kitty are amazing and I love that Kevin Smith joined the show. This show has so much potential, just lose the laugh track!
I love Star Trek Strange New Worlds (overall I give the series 10 stars) but this episode is like something the CW network would do! I know they want to do a lot of genre bending this season, but this one did not bend, it broke. The crossover episode with an animated series was clever, but a musical episode is just absurd. What has made Strange New Worlds so great is how it is getting back to the story telling of the original series. As much as Shatner might like to do spoken word "singing" these days, I can't imagine Roddenberry ever having the Enterprise break into song. Please do better and don't repeat this mistake!
