This T Takes entry starring Michael Stahl David ("Cloverfield") makes the disappear behind a cap, sunglasses and a hoodie, as he practices lines to be used in some future robbery. He's one of the many guests from a motel room, previously presented in other episodes with other actors but there's no interaction between them as the project are simply lone actors delivering a performance without anyone around. This entry allows Michael to leave vanity out and hide himself as a fresh criminal trying out his confidence, though not entirely developed as he's a little clumsy and misses his speech due to some nervousness. A little fun. 6/10.
T Takes were a series of short films commissioned by The New York Times (if I'm not mistaken) with many young actors displaying their talents in brief sequences. The concept given revolves on motel room guests and some apparently important situation. I am simply delivering this description as this entry starring Brady Corbet ("Mysterious Skin" and director of "The Brutalist") was the first I watched - has a double page over the title "The Guest in Room 225".
It goes in a mysterious manner with its small dialogues and presentation. A conversation of him on a payphone, a female voice on the other side of line, who asks where the young man is, he's in the area and about to reach her or someone close they know. Later we see the motel and something there frightens him.
Maybe the idea is all about actors try different and minimal approaches to their technique or take something from a minimal scenario and work they way through it. Some audiences will get it, others won't see much use for it. The fun part is that we have to create ideas about what's happening with the man and what needs to be solved. Unusual but watchable, yet I don't have clues or theories about what's going on - maybe he's there to intervene on a domestic violence scenario and he's scarred about his reaction and/or the other side, the other person. 6/10.

Apart from the great Engenheiros do Hawaii song "Nau à Deriva", it's mixture of metaphors and the kick-ass work of lead singer Humberto Gessinger, the other fun element of this music video are the moments of the band while visiting Moscow, a rare event on several accounts and one wonders if it just a curious trip or they managed to make some gigs there. Their stage act doesn't seem to indicate a concert made there, and most of what's shown in the then Soviet Union capital were made of meeting Brazilian fans who were also there, and visiting memorable places. Cool stuff and a very additing song of theirs, also a hit. 8/10.
