Just saw this one. Really enjoyed the performances from all of the leads, in particular Rachel Brosnahan and Arinzé Kene, and it is always nice to see Frankie Faison. Really good, motown soundtrack that sets the mood and complements the story. I honestly never thought about what the backup vocals were singing in "(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman", before, but after this film i can't stop singing "Aaah-Oooh" to myself...
Very much enjoyed.
Very much enjoyed.
Just finished watching this film at TIFF.
Talk about a raw, visceral experience. Definitely not for the faint of heart, as the subject matter is quite intensely disturbing and the film is not shy with violence.
I think there are few films that truly capture the sense of vulnerability and loneliness that one experiences in a betrayal of the worst kind. How the entire world seems to turn against you.
Bold film, with a captivating central performance.
Wow.

Wow. Still trying to fully process the movie. It is unflinchingly raw with its depictions of depravity, violence and the suffering of the people.
A frightening glimpse into the world we could be closer to then we would like to admit.
Great film.
