The movie is nice quite like the book. But there are lots of details that the movie doesn't show. The ending was completely different but good the kiss and Missie saying Mom hey what else can you ask for!! One more thing Missie wasn't that big in the book she was going to be 2 years old and in the movie she was like 7.
I just couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the other comments. I found this series one of the best of all times. I've seen the show since I was little but I may think that lots of people didn't like it for one reason. The show was a family show, a program that doesn't show naked women or say dirty jokes it was about the love of a family being reunited because of the lost of a member. This was the main cause of the program and it showed how the family were trying to stay together will they grow. I love the show and will never forget it because it has a part in my life. One more thing Michel was beautiful.
